The Evason Ma'In Hot Springs & Six Senses Spa is set in a deep canyon, 264metres below sea level with steaming hot springs that fall from the clifftop. The thermal mineral springs are said to have been where Herod the Great bathed for medicinal purposed but the springs are also said to aid weight loss (unfortunately I did not get to experience this :( although it was much needed after dinner) I was lucky enough to be invited with Living Well to this gorgeous location for Iftar (break fast dinner) and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Candice and I were treated to the rather treacherous bus ride courtesy of the driver, whilst the others escaped in a getaway car, but the views out of our window were rather stunning with the winding roads (which made the bus journey all the more pleasant :|).

Candice has a rather wierd obsession with lamps - this picture she took show the stunning surroundings
View of the Spa and Dead Sea between the hills
Extremely delicious Gnocchi Pasta that you can have made to order
Me being healthy with most my plate full of carbohydrates
Most of the food served is farmed locally and organically some of it coming from the hotels organic herb and vegetable garden. We were treated to an absolutely delicious dinner which sampled a range of Arabic and Mediterranean cuisine. The courtyard was a perfect place to relax with our plates of melon as we listened to an acoustic set and gazed up at stars. The hotel is absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway or just a calm weekend at the spa with the girls.
I had the most amazing time and it was the perfect thing to do before heading back to England the next week. Note to self - Never where a horizontally striped t-shirt when knowingly going for a big dinner...
