Sketchbook Magazine Pop Up Shop with Susie Bubble

This post is better late than never...  Courtesy of Twitter I found out about a magazine called Sketchbook Magazine www.sketchbookmagazine.com who were holding a pop-up shop in Carnaby, London.  Various talks and workshops featuring artists, designers ect...took place in the cute shop with fabulous illustrations on the wall.  I managed to go to the final day event where a question and answer session was being held by Susie Bubble of www.stylebubble.co.uk  were I managed to record the session as well as getting some videos and photos.

It was great to actually hear her story after being a avid reader of her site for so long and understand her inspiration for becoming a fashion blogger.  It is her real love and flair for fashion that has made her such a success and an inspiration to people like me.

I managed to have a little chat with Wafa Al Obaidat the founder and editor of Sketchbook Magazine, who even in the short time that I spoke with her gave me some sound advice on making it in the industry.  Hopefully at a later date I can conduct a proper interview with Wafa so many more people can be inspired by her success.  I think the whole concept about this magazine is just great and enforces the idea of collaboration within the fashion industry; it is an prime example of how successful collaboration can be.

New Logo

So what with the development of the website I enlisted the help of an illustrator from my university to create a cool new logo for me.  His name is Scott Waldron and you can find his work one www.scottwaldron.co.uk .

The City Launch Party @ Armani Exchange

So I managed to snag some tickets to go to the Launch Party of The City in conjunction with MTV at the Armani Exchange store on Regent Street.  So I invited my very good friend Sophie for a spot of free drinks and some style spotting...
The evening was worth the trip to London as there was an eclectic mix of people rocking many different fashion styles and a few celebrities thrown into the mix.

Actress Ashley Madekwe looking even more gorgeous in real life!  Wearing linen top, skinny black jeans and in style chunky black heels by Miu Miu...Is that Chanel Nouvelle Vague I spot on her nails? 

Presenter Gemma Cairney gives her outfit a twist with her leopard print Mulberry bag...I also love the boots!

Two lovely ladies at the party - I love the nude dress (left) with the whimsical netted skirt mixed with the denim jacket, a perfect summer look. (Right) The black peg leg trousers and the fringed cut out sandals were my favourite part of this ensemble, the shoes really made the outfit.

One of the DJ's for the evening keep the crowd happy with some great tunes.  Downstairs got pretty busy - free drinks definitely create a crowd...

I'm Back...

Ok, I have not blogged since April and I have been hanging my head in shame since then!  So my most sincere apologies to the few who read Copious Fashion...
On the bright side there has been some exciting developments...I am launching a new fashion website named after my blog featuring collaboration by some fantastic talent...
